FAAN Drops the Hammer: Airport Cab Operators Must Upgrade Fleet by October or Lose Access

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has ordered all airport cab operators to upgrade their fleets to newer vehicle models, setting October 2026 as the final deadline for compliance. FAAN warned that no further extensions would be granted and that operators who fail to upgrade risk losing airport access.

The directive has sparked tension with cab operators, who have threatened to shut down airport operations on July 1, accusing FAAN of imposing unfair conditions.
