Ekiti LG Election: Voting Peaceful, Ballot Papers in Short Supply

December 2, 2023 1 min read

The on-going local government and local council development area election in Ekiti State is running smoothly.

As early as 8:00am, electoral officers and security officials have arrived most of the polling units visited.

Though, turn out is a bit low at many of the polling centres, ballot papers were, however, in short supply.

As at 11:30am, ballot papers have been exhausted at some of the polling units in Ijero, Ikole, Ado-Ekiti, Èkiti East and Mobal local government areas.

Observers from the Nigerian Human Rights Community (NIHRCO) were seen keeping ‘vigil’ at the polling units.

Voting is still going on as at 12:20 pm.
