The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a man, identified as Innocent Chukwuma, in Oyigbo, Port Harcourt, Rivers State for allegedly using his social media account to call for a military takeover of the federal government.

Chukwuma, who posts on X under the handle @TheAgroman, is accused of urging the armed forces to “suspend the Nigerian government” and to remove the All Progressives Congress from power. In one post attributed to him, he reportedly wrote, “A coup in Nigeria is needed. Dispose of APC, suspend the Nigerian Government, and join the AES. That is all we need now. It will happen eventually. Nigerians, the military needs your support now! Only them can save this country.”

A security source told our reporter that Chukwuma is cooperating with investigators as the DSS continues its inquiries. No further details have been released about any charges filed against him or the location where he will be detained pending investigation.

The DSS did not immediately issue a public statement at the time of this report. We will update this story when further official information is made available.
