Cyclists and corporate sponsors took to the streets for the Cycling Lagos Mini Tour on Saturday ahead of the grand finale of the 3rd Cycling Lagos event on June 29, 2024.

The sponsors, including Samsung, Stanbic IBTC Bank, Nutrify, and Cway, were part of the tour that commenced at Teslim Balogun Stadium, traversing major streets on the Island and returning via the Third Mainland Bridge, showcasing the readiness of all stakeholders.

Bamidele Adeleye, the convener of Cycling Lagos and Managing Director of BrandEscort Communications, described the tour as a rehearsal, saying, β€œThe Tour of Lagos is our way of informing Lagosians about our readiness for the event.

β€œIt’s a dress rehearsal for the grand finale, which promises to be one of Africa’s biggest cycling competitions.”

Digital Marketing Manager for Samsung Electronics West Africa, Michael Nwughala, expressed the brand’s enthusiasm in sponsoring the event to promote its Galaxy Fit3 watch, a fitness tracker aimed at improving health and fitness levels.

Stanbic IBTC Bank plans to highlight its Chess Account for children, teaching them the importance of saving, while Nutrify, a wellness brand, will showcase its nutritional products.

Cway will ensure participants stay refreshed throughout the event.

The 3rd Cycling Lagos event, themed β€œSustainable Healthcare,” and supported by the Lagos State Sports Commission and the Lagos State Cycling Association, aims to foster discussions on environmentally friendly healthcare policies and sustainable systems.
