BY TOBI AKINNUBI

The Dangote Group has denied ownership of the truck involved in a fatal accident that occurred in Akungba-Akoko, Akoko South-West Local Government Area of Ondo State.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the company dismissed reports circulating on social media and some online platforms linking the vehicle to the conglomerate.

According to the statement, thorough investigations and verification of registration details confirmed that the truck in question does not belong to the Dangote Group or any of its subsidiaries.

The company urged members of the public to disregard the misinformation and cautioned against the spread of unverified reports capable of misleading the public.

It also expressed sympathy to the victims and families affected by the tragic accident, reiterating its commitment to road safety and responsible operations across the country.
