President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of three Oyo State indigenes to the Surveyors Council of Nigeria, naming retired surveyor Moshood Akinwande as President of the Council.
Akinwande, a native of Oyo town and retired Director in the Office of the Surveyor-General of the Federation, will lead the newly constituted council.
Also appointed are Olusoji Adeoye, the Surveyor-General of Oyo State, and Olaribigbe Shiyanbola, an indigene of Ipapo in Itesiwaju Local Government Area. Shiyanbola is a former Chairman of the Oyo State branch of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors and a former Secretary of the Board of Fellows.
The new council is scheduled to be inaugurated on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the SGF Hall, Shehu Shagari Complex, Abuja.
