Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, has just held an emergency security briefing with Kwara South monarchs in Ajase-Ipo.

Building on previous engagements with individual monarchs before now, the meeting was well attended by first class and other monarchs at the palace of the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo.

The Governor gave the monarchs a blow-by-blow accounts of the situation and what he called the multilayered approach of the state government and the Office of the National Security Adviser to the issues. “We can never abandon you.

And from my briefings, you can see what we are doing. A lot has happened in this area; several arrests, including of notorious criminals, have been made. But we have a duty to manage information in order not to compromise the safety of our people and the security agents, but I assure you that we are working,” he told the monarchs who appreciated his down-to-earth briefings. They also prayed for him to succeed, including in his transformative works in the state. LGA Council Chairmen also attended.
