Eniola Olajuni, the National President of the Afenifere Youth Council, has been released after spending 12 days in captivity. Biodun Aderohunmu, the National Secretary of the Youths Council, confirmed Olajuni’s release in a brief WhatsApp message on Saturday, simply stating, “He has been released”

Olajuni was abducted on February 17, 2025, while traveling to Abuja for a meeting.

His kidnappers demanded a hefty ransom of N100 million and two tricycles in exchange for his freedom.

Following his abduction, a video went viral showing Olajuni at gunpoint, pleading for Nigerians to come to his aid and raise funds for his release.

In response, the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, deployed the Intelligence Response Team to secure Olajuni’s safe release.
