The Ondo State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun Corps, has arrested a 56 year old man, Iliasu, and his three sons, Usman, Wahab and Yakubu, for their involvement in the kidnapping of a resident of Oba Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The suspects abducted the victim and collected a ransom from the victim’s family but still refused to release him. Acting on intelligence, Amotekun operatives tracked the kidnappers to their hideout, rescued the victim alive and arrested the four suspects.

Ondo State Amotekun Commander, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, disclosed that more than 75 percent of the ransom collected by the suspects was recovered during the operation. Security operatives also seized drugs, alcoholic drinks, cigarettes and other items from the hideout.

Adeleye said the suspects are in custody and will be prosecuted as the corps continues its crackdown on kidnapping and other violent crimes across Ondo State.
