Anthony Joshua’s bid for a third heavyweight world title reign ended in devastating defeat as Daniel Dubois scored a stunning fifth-round knockout at Wembley Stadium.

Dubois, the IBF heavyweight champion, dominated Joshua from the outset, dropping him in the first round with a crushing right hand.

Joshua struggled to recover, absorbing severe punishment throughout.

Despite a brief resurgence in the fifth round, Joshua was sent crashing to the canvas by a decisive Dubois right hand, prompting the referee to stop the fight.

“I’ve only got a few words to say: Are you not entertained?” Dubois exclaimed post-fight. “I’m a gladiator, I’m a warrior to the bitter end.”

Joshua gracious in defeat, said, “Credit to him and his team. We rolled the dice of success, but we came up short.”

The loss marks Joshua’s third defeat in his last six fights, raising questions about his future in the division.

Dubois’ victory solidifies his position as a top heavyweight contender, setting up potential matchups with Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury.

Dubois lands 143/394 punches (36%) while Joshua lands 93/305 punches (30%)

Dubois knocks down Joshua in rounds 1 and 5 of the match.

Notable attendees includes Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk, Roberto Duran, Terence Crawford, Rory McIlroy, Conor McGregor, Liam Gallagher.
