Another Igbo Man Caught: Brazil-Based Businessman Abugu Oliver Ikechukwu Arrested with Cocaine-Impregnated Shirts, Towels Worth Millions

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has arrested a 41-year-old Sao Paulo, Brazil-based businessman, Abugu Oliver Ikechukwu, for importing shirts and towels impregnated with 6.10 kilograms of liquid cocaine from Brazil into Nigeria.

The suspect, an Igbo man, is now in NDLEA custody as investigations continue into the drug trafficking network. This is yet another episode in a recurring pattern of Igbo involvement in international drug cartels, from meth labs in Ogun forests to cocaine busts in Thailand, from romance scams to money laundering.
