Anambra APC Congratulates Tinubu, APC on Supreme Court Victory

The Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congratulations (APC) has congratulated President Bola Tinubu and the APC on the coming out victorious in the appeal filed against the President in the Supreme Court of Nigeria by the candidates of the Labour Party, Peter Obi and Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

In a statement signed by the chapter’s Publicity Secretary, Okelo Madukaife, the party said: “Our dynamic chapter of our great party, All Progressives Congress (APC) congratulates President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our our great party and the entire Nigeria on the decisive, erudite and favourable judgement delivered by the Supreme Court, concluding the 2023 Presidential Electoral Process.”

With the situation as it is, Madukaife stated, the business of governance could now run unhindered and with clear vision to address major concerns in security, economy, industrialisation, and foreign policy.

He added that It was also a good opportunity to balance all appointments hitherto presumed unbalanced along the relevant factors in the nation.

The Anambra APC also congratulated the Peoples Democratic Party and their presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for putting up a good fight before, during and after the elections.

It noted that it had no doubt that Alhaji Abubakar was experienced enough, knowledgeable enough and devout enough to his faith to understand when God’s will had been done and there could only be one president at a time.

“Similarly we congratulate Labour Party (LP) and its presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi on their dogged fight that has produced enough lessons to impact the polity, particularly outside the two established political parties and within the knowledge ranks of the electorate.

“We urge opposition to engage the ruling APC on issues and alternative ideas of governance instead of social media misinformation and disinformation that takes advantage of those with varying levels of knowledge on the electoral process.

“We urge our country men and women, irrespective of the side they stood in the elections and the ensuing litigation to now discountenance discussing hard issues of judicial proceedings on emotions and put the new dicta establishing by the Supreme Court to good use in future elections”, the statement submitted

“Once again, we congratulate APC and President Tinubu and wish to remind that there is need to perform in government, and weigh in on equitable internal reward system for loyal party faithful”, the party concluded.
