Amotekun Commanders and their officers from Òyó, Èkìtì, Ogun, and Ọṣun states paid a condolence visit to the Governor of Ondo State, Clad in vibrant T-shirts featuring images of the late governor Rotimi Akeredolu in his Amotekun uniform, they marched to the governor’s office in Alagbaka, Akure, the state capital.
They arrived with bands, sang, and lit candles in honour of the late governor.
The commanders expressed their gratitude for the creation of the Western Nigeria Security Network, also known as “Amotekun,” for which late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu was instrumental in making a reality.
The Ondo State governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, expressed gratitude to Afenifere leader, Pa. Rueben Fasoranti, in Akure for his distinguished role in upholding the rule of law during political crisis.
Present were Afenifere leaders, including Oba Olu Falae and Chief Korede Duyile.
The Olubaka of Oka-Akoko and chiefs also expressed sympathy, highlighting togetherness for on-going security measures, and they commended late Arakunrin Akeredolu’s vision in founding Amotekun.
