Doyen of Accounting Akintola Williams Dies at 104

The Doyen of Accounting in Nigeria, Pa Akintola Williams, is dead.

He reportedly died at 9:00 am today.

He was the first Nigerian to qualify as a chartered accountant.

Williams participated in founding of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
