President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has renewed the tenure of Abdulhamid Salihu Dembos, Director-General of the NTA Network News, and Ali Mohammed Ali, Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), for another three years.
The renewal takes effect from October 20, 2026, following their initial appointments on October 20, 2023.
Dembos, a veteran broadcaster from Yola, Adamawa State, previously served as National President of RATTAWU and held several positions within the NTA, including General Manager of NTA Lokoja and NTA Kano.
Ali, a veteran journalist and media manager with over 30 years of experience, holds degrees in English and International Affairs, as well as a postgraduate diploma in Mass Communication.
President Tinubu urged both executives to justify his confidence in them by strengthening their organisations and advancing their mandates in line with the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
