Auxiliary’s Murder Trial Adjourned as Prosecution Fails to File Documents – New Date Fixed
The Oyo State High Court in Ibadan has adjourned the murder trial of former Park Management System disciplinary committee chairman, Mukaila Lamidi (Auxiliary), to July 15, 2026, after the prosecution failed to file the required trial documents.
Lamidi is facing a murder charge over the alleged death of Wonuola Ayinde, who prosecutors say was knocked down by his vehicle on September 23, 2023, at GRA, Agodi, Ibadan. The adjournment delays the adoption of final written address as the Oyo State Government continues its prosecution, while the defendant maintains his plea of not guilty.
The trial, which has attracted significant public attention, has been plagued by delays, with the latest adjournment adding to the frustration of those seeking justice. The court is expected to resume proceedings on the new date.
