Owa Haastrup Appoints Advisory Council, Palace Officials

The Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, His Imperial Majesty, Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, has approved the appointment of a 15-member Advisory Council, a six-member Private Advisory Team, and six Palace Officials.

The appointments take effect from Thursday, January 1, 2026.

A statement issued by the Palace on Wednesday said the appointments are aimed at strengthening the administration of the Palace and supporting the monarch in the seamless implementation of his comprehensive and inclusive development agenda for Ijesaland.

According to the statement, members of the Advisory Council are eminent and accomplished Ijesas drawn from diverse fields including business, industry, public service, academia, and other professional sectors, who have made notable contributions to national development and the progress of Ijesaland.

The Palace noted that further appointments would be announced in due course.

Meanwhile, Owa Haastrup congratulated the appointees, describing their selection as a recognition of their outstanding credentials and commitment to the peace, progress, and prosperity of Ijesaland.

“I implore you to see this appointment as a call to service,” the monarch said. “Let us work together to make Ijesaland a model among communities in Nigeria, serving not only our people across the six local government areas in Osun State but also Ijesas nationwide and in the diaspora.”

He urged the appointees to work diligently and selflessly, noting that their contributions would define their legacy and place in the history of Ijesaland.
