Segun Awosanya, popularly known as Segalink, has warned that Lagos State will no longer tolerate what he described as “manufactured chaos disguised as protest.”

Speaking alongside senior officials of the Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday, Awosanya said the government will take decisive action against any attempt to disrupt public safety or target key infrastructure under the guise of civil agitation.

He noted that Lagos, still recovering from the aftermath of previous unrest where violent actors infiltrated peaceful protests, cannot afford another round of destruction and instability.

“The state will not allow disruptions that threaten public safety and critical infrastructure,” Awosanya said. “We recognize the right to peaceful assembly, but that right must be exercised responsibly and not at the expense of law and order.”

He advised those he described as “career protesters and political agitators” to direct their grievances to their home states instead of repeatedly using Lagos as a stage for confrontation.

Awosanya also urged citizens to embrace dialogue and collaboration with authorities, noting that in 2025, tools for constructive engagement exist and should be prioritized over confrontation.

“Constructive dialogue yields results. Confrontation only leaves communities in ruins while agitators move on to their next grievance,” he added.

Lagos authorities reaffirmed their commitment to protecting the constitutional rights of residents while ensuring that security and public peace remain non-negotiable.
