Indian Police Dismantle International Drug Network Operated by Three Nigerian Women

Indian authorities have dismantled a major international drug trafficking network allegedly operated by three Nigerian women in the capital city, Delhi.

According to a statement by the Delhi Police on Tuesday, the suspects were apprehended following a coordinated operation that uncovered significant quantities of illicit drugs, including cocaine and MDMA (commonly known as ecstasy).

Police officials said the arrests were made after weeks of surveillance and intelligence gathering on the syndicate’s activities, which reportedly involved the smuggling and distribution of hard drugs across several Indian states.

During the raid, officers recovered multiple packets of cocaine, MDMA tablets, and other incriminating materials linked to cross-border trafficking. Preliminary investigations suggest the drugs were sourced from international suppliers and distributed through an established local network.

Authorities added that the three women entered India on different visas and had been operating from rented apartments in South Delhi, using courier services and nightlife venues to conceal their transactions.

The Delhi Police Narcotics Cell stated that the suspects will face charges under India’s Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, while efforts are ongoing to identify other members of the network and trace their international connections.

Police further reiterated their commitment to curbing transnational drug smuggling and warned foreign nationals against involvement in illegal narcotics trade within India.
