The management of the University of Lagos has cautioned against the unauthorised use of its premises, including hostels and other facilities, for the shooting of films, skits, vox pops, or any form of cinematographic activity.

In a statement signed by the Head of the Communication Unit, Mrs. Adejoke Alaga-Ibraheem, the university noted that an increasing number of individuals and groups have been using the campus for content creation without official approval.

The statement emphasised that UNILAG has established procedures governing the use of its environment for any kind of recording or production. These guidelines, the management said, are designed to uphold safety, maintain decorum, and protect the integrity and reputation of the institution.

The university directed that all students, staff, and external collaborators intending to film or record within the campus must obtain prior approval from the Communication Unit, located on the 7th Floor of the Senate House.

While encouraging creativity and responsible expression, UNILAG stressed that all such activities must comply with its institutional rules to ensure order, safety, and collective responsibility within the university community.
