Serah Ibrahim, a close aide to Peter Obi, has made explosive allegations directly implicating President Bola Tinubu in the ongoing killings and persecution of Christians across Nigeria. Her statements came in response to a tweet by U.S. Representative Miley M. Moore highlighting Nigeria as the deadliest country for Christians, where over 50,000 have been killed, more than 5 million displaced, and over 19,000 churches attacked or destroyed since 2009. Moore called for Nigeria to be designated a Country of Particular Concern (CPC) to unlock diplomatic measures for the protection of Christians.
In her response, Ibrahim stated: “President Bola Tinubu, who is perpetuating these crimes, has a criminal drug case in Chicago and forged a certificate claiming he graduated from @ChicagoState. Up until this day, the school locked their Twitter account and deleted the 1979 graduation records to help him in his crimes. The school must be made to release the records of 1979 and his full drug case records of narcotics in Chicago should be fully released. He is not even qualified to be president but was rigged in to carry out atrocities.”
By asserting that Tinubu is “perpetuating these crimes,” Ibrahim directly accuses the president of giving orders that have led to the targeted killings of Christian communities. She alleges that under his administration, kidnappings, church burnings, and mass killings are not accidental or negligent, but executed under directives from the highest office in the country.
Ibrahim’s allegations also highlight a pattern of alleged criminal concealment and forgery, reinforcing her claim that Tinubu is unfit to govern.
Observers note that these claims, if verified, represent one of the most serious accusations against a sitting Nigerian president in recent history. Her statement challenges law enforcement, human rights organizations, and international observers to urgently investigate the alleged systematic targeting of Christians in Nigeria, potentially implicating the president himself in orchestrated atrocities.
