The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has placed a $10,000 reward (about ₦14 million) for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of Olumide Adebiyi Adediran, a Nigerian national who has evaded law enforcement for more than two decades.

According to information released on the FBI’s official website, Adediran is wanted in connection with charges of bank fraud, identification document fraud, and credit card fraud. He was indicted in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois and was scheduled to appear for trial in December 2001, but allegedly fled before the proceedings began.

The FBI noted that Adediran, born on October 11, 1968, has used multiple aliases including Kevin Olumide Adediran, Eric Williams, Stephen Debiyi, and Maxwell Alexandre. He is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Investigators believe Adediran has ties to South Florida and could be hiding under any of his known aliases. The agency cautioned that he is considered a fugitive who has deliberately avoided prosecution for over 20 years.

The FBI urged anyone with credible information about his whereabouts to contact the nearest FBI office, U.S. embassy, or consulate.

Adediran remains one of several international fugitives listed on the FBI’s wanted list for white-collar crimes.
