The Federal Ministry of Education has reiterated its commitment to strengthening vocational and technical colleges across the country as part of efforts to boost skills development and youth employability.

In a statement released on Thursday in Abuja, the ministry noted that vocational and technical education remains a critical tool for national development, especially in bridging the gap between education and industry needs.

According to the release, government is working on policies and partnerships to modernize technical colleges, upgrade facilities, and ensure students acquire relevant 21st-century skills. The ministry also emphasized that vocational training would play a vital role in reducing unemployment and empowering young Nigerians to become self-reliant.

The statement added that collaboration with state governments, private sector players, and international partners would be intensified to expand opportunities in technical and vocational education nationwide.
