The President of Nigeria has showered praise and rewards on the Super Falcons, the country’s women’s national football team, following their historic win at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

Each player and member of the technical crew has been conferred with the esteemed national honor of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).

In addition to the prestigious honor, each awardee will receive a 3-bedroom flat and a cash award of $100,000, which translates to a substantial amount in Naira.

This gesture is a proof to the President’s appreciation for the team’s remarkable achievement and their contribution to Nigeria’s sporting glory.

The Super Falcons’ victory at WAFCON 2024 was a momentous occasion for Nigerian football, and the team’s triumph has been met with widespread jubilation across the country.
