A disturbing video has emerged of a 50-year-old widow, Mrs. Ikeorah Maureen, displaying wounds inflicted on her by a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Jude Muokwe, in Anambra State.

The incident has raised concerns and calls for an investigation into the priest’s actions.

According to reports, the priest allegedly used a whip to flog the widow, leaving her with multiple injuries.

The victim, a primary school teacher at Angel Primary School, Ifitedunu, allegedly owned and managed by the Catholic mission, denied holding a meeting with other staff members, which the priest claimed was the reason for the assault.

In a viral video, the victim recounted the incident, saying, “He dragged me out and used a cane and flogged me all over my body. He was beating me and slapping me.”

When asked why the priest assaulted her, she replied, “Nothing.

β€œHe came and said I was holding a meeting with other teachers, meanwhile, I did not call any meeting and he was beating me and slapping me.”

The victim showed the injuries inflicted on her, saying, “Look at my face, all over my back and all my legs.”

Despite the evidence, the priest, Fr. Muokwe, has refused to comment on the matter.

The incident has raised public outcry, with many demanding justice for the assaulted widow and an investigation into the priest’s actions.
