Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced the official commissioning of the Abiola-Onijemo Link Road and Bridge in the Ifako Ijaiye Local Government Area.
This project establishes a crucial connection between the Abiola/Ajayi/Ogba and Obawole/Iju-Ishaga communities, facilitating easier movement and stimulating economic growth.
The Abiola-Onijemo Link Road features a reinforced concrete bridge, complete with retaining walls, carriageways, slip roads, walkways, and solar-powered street lighting.
The project also incorporates a drainage system to address long-standing flooding issues, providing vital protection for the surrounding communities.
The Governor emphasized that this project represents more than just infrastructure; it connects lives, fosters unity, and stimulates economic growth.
He assured that the state remains focused and committed to building a state that works for everyone.
In addition to the Abiola-Onijemo Link Road, the Governor announced that 35 other newly constructed roads and bridges would be commissioned within the week.
