In a bold move to preserve the indigenous YorΓΉbΓ‘ heritage of Lagos State, the Mushin Local Government has officially changed the name of Agunyi Ironsi International Spare Market back to its original name, Paramo International Spare Parts Market.

According to Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye, Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government, the decision to rename the market was made to honor the legacy of Late Alhaji Hassan Olajoku, the founder of PARAMO Development Ventures Ltd.

Olajoku was a hero who fought tirelessly for the development of the market, and his company’s name was unjustly replaced with Agunyi Ironsi.

“The name of our Market at Ladipo remains; PARAMO INTERNATIONAL SPARE PARTS MARKET, Not AGUIYI IRONSI Market,” Hon. Bamigboye emphasized.

β€œThe market was constructed by Late Alhaji Hassan Olajoku with the name of his company, PARAMO Development Ventures Ltd, and we have to honor him.” He mentioned.

This decision has been met with widespread praise from the community, who see it as a victory for Yoruba heritage and culture.

However, restoring the original name of the market, the Mushin Local Government has demonstrated its commitment to preserving the history and traditions of the Yoruba people.

As the Yoruba people continue to celebrate their rich cultural heritage, this move serves as a reminder of the importance of honoring our ancestors and preserving our traditions for future generations.

The Yoruba community is calling on others to emulate their example in preserving and restoring Yoruba heritage and cultural identity in their respective domains.
