President Bola Tinubu arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Saturday evening, marking his return to Nigeria after a two-week vacation in the United Kingdom. The president’s working leave, which began on October 2, was part of his annual leave.
Upon his arrival, Tinubu was welcomed by a team of Government officials, including National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Abdullahi Ganduje, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Chief of State Femi Gbajabiamila, and National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu, among others.
Presidential aide Dada Olusegun announced Tinubu’s return on his X account, saying, “The eagle has landed. Welcome home, Mr. President.”
According to Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, the vacation was part of Tinubu’s annual leave.
The Yoruba Times had previously reported on the president’s departure for the UK on October 2.
