The Ekiti State Governor, Abiodun Oyebanji, has approved the the advancement of primary school teachers in the state from grade level 15 to grade level 16.

The innovative takes immediate effect.

This was disclosed by the Chairman of Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Femi Akinwumi, who said the approval is part of the efforts of the State Governor to bring the primary school teachers to the peak with their counterparts in the civil service.

He said the approval was given β€œto bring the primary school teachers in the state to a parallel peak with their counterparts in the civil service.”

The Governor’s commitment to enhancing the welfare of primary school teachers in the state aligns with his vision of shared prosperity for all workforce categories. According to the statement, the governor will continue to provide support, including a conducive teaching-learning environment, to motivate teachers for effective service delivery.

However, Teachers in the state are encouraged to sustain the state’s education sector’s impressive development, solidifying its reputation as the “fountain of knowledge and land of honour.”

This initiative builds on the governor’s earlier efforts, which included distributing cars and housing loans to primary school teachers a few months ago, demonstrating his dedication to their well-being and the sector’s growth.
