It was a delight to inaugurate the Ekiti State Livestock Production Productivity and Resilience Support (L-PRES) project office, vehicles, and other equipment.
This initiative is a crucial part of our commitment to driving innovative ideas and promoting food security in our state.
The L-PRES project, supported by the World Bank and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, aims to enhance the productivity and commercialisation of targeted livestock production systems while strengthening the resilience of livelihoods affected by farmer-herder conflicts.
We are determined to use this project to build a solid agricultural institution, resolve disputes, provide extensive extension services, and upgrade livestock infrastructure.
During the event, I also flagged off the distribution of fertilisers to farmers across the state in line with our efforts to support and improve agricultural yields.
Our state is on the path to becoming an agricultural powerhouse, and I am proud of the progress we have made.
Together, we will build a stronger and more prosperous Ekiti State.
