Yoruba Nation Agitators’ Warehouse Reportedly Busted in Oyo, Several Army Uniforms, Other Military Gear Recovered

Several military camouflages and items were stored inside the warehouse as displayed in the viral video.

A viral video seen by SaharaReporters on X has shown how a warehouse allegedly belonging to a Yoruba Nation agitators’ group in Ibadan, Oyo State, was busted.

Several military camouflages and items were stored inside the warehouse as displayed in the viral video.

Captioning the video on his page, an X user, Deji Adesogan described it as a security threat to the South-West region.

He, therefore, urged the Nigerian government to be deliberate towards ensuring those who owned the warehouse were traced and made to face the wrath of the law.

He said, “VIDEO: Warehouse of the “Yoruba Nation” busted in Ibadan, Oyo State. Camouflage uniforms and others recovered. Very disturbing I hope FG and OYSG will act decisively, apprehend and punish all those involved. Security Threats in South-West region shouldn’t be underestimated.”

Another user said, “They have sponsors and the government as a matter of urgency should go after them. Charge them for treason and send them to Kirikiri.

“They should just ensure they get to the root of the matter. So these people can raise money to do all this nonsense and cause societal unrest.”

“But couldn’t help to cushion the effort of the government through poverty alleviation,” another user, Balogun Ridwan said.

He added: “The people you want to rule, you want to impose yourself on them, you don’t want to follow due process but you don’t want to alleviate their poverty… eyin osinwin eniyan.”

On Saturday, SaharaReporters reported how two suspected agitators who claimed to belong to the Yoruba Nation were arrested by security personnel for their alleged role in the invasion of the Oyo State Government Secretariat, Agodi in Ibadan, the state capital.

An old man with grey air and a middle-aged man bearing Yoruba Nation flags were arrested by the police.

Earlier, some Yoruba Nation agitators on Saturday morning invaded the Secretariat and took over some parts of the area.

The security operatives did not allow reporters to interview them but the aged man claimed he was the father of the Yoruba Nation.

Efforts to reach the spokesman for the state police command, Adewale Osifeso failed as his personal assistant who answered his mobile phone said his principal was in a meeting with the police commissioner and he could not speak for him.
