Seven persons were injured in a gas explosion that occurred on Sunday evening at a steel company in Ogijo area of Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Following the incident, the Ogun State government ordered immediate closure of Phoenix Steel Mills.
The state Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Ola Oresanya, conducted an on-the-spot assessment at the scene of the explosion and issued directive for the immediate closure of the iron rod manufacturing company.
The entire production line of the company was affected by the explosion.
