Insecurity: Agbekoya to Train Ekiti People Free of Charge

As part of efforts to boost security in Ekiti State, the Agbekoya Security outfit has expressed its readiness to train five people from each community in the state free of charge.

The Agbekoya State Commandant, Sunday Omoyajowo, who gave the information while speaking with BSES reporter, Ademola Adeleke in Ado-Ekiti, appealed to monarchs in the state to support the cause for ensuring the security of Ekiti farmlands and property.

Omoyajowo explained that the intending able bodied men and women would be given adequate security training free of charge and deployed back to their communities to provide security cover in farmlands.

He handed over the keys of two motorcycles donated by Yoruba Nation Global Directorate overseas to the personnel of the Agbekoya in Ekiti to enhance their movement during forest combing.

The legal adviser of the Agbekoya Security outfit, Oladele Adedeji, thanked the Yoruba Nation Global Directorate for boosting the morale of members, adding that the motorcycles would further enhance their operations.

He appealed to other well to do individuals and bodies to assist the outfit in its quest to combat crime in Ekiti State.

Adedeji also charged users of the motorbikes to utilize them for the designed purposes.
