EKITI: LGs/LCDAs to Construct 5KM Road Each tO Enhance Transportation, Boost Development

The 16 local government councils and 22 local council development areas in Ekiti State have agreed under the aegis of the Joint Account and Allocation Committee (JAAC) of Local Governments to construct 5km road each in the current dispensation in the state.

The Chairman of the Joint Account and Allocation Committee (JAAC), who also doubles as the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs (LGA), Hon Folorunso Olabode made this known in Ado-Ekiti while briefing journalists on the outcome of the maiden edition of the plenary session of JAAC for year 2024.

Olabode explained that the move was in tandem with the development agenda of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, aimed at easing transportation challenges in the state.
