To address the challenges associated with paucity of aviation security personnel in the aviation industry in Nigeria, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has boosted its security capacity with the induction of 201 newly trained aviation security cadets.

The cadets were formally inducted into the security service of the airport authority during the passing out parade (POP) event held at the playground of Digital Bridge Institute, (Defunct Nigerian Telecommunications (Nitel) playground, Oshodi, Lagos.

She added that the 8-week residential training programme was one of the steps being taken by the agency to ensure total safety at the airports.

β€œThis ceremony not only marks a significant milestone in your careers but also in the journey of FAAN towards bolstering the nation’s aviation security,” Kuku said, β€œIt is also one of our strategic responses to the increase in volume of passengers using our airports”, the FAAN MD said.
