The Ogun State Government has signed MoU for the construction of the Olokola Deep Seaport in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area.
This was contained in a post shared with pictures via The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun Official X ( previously known as Twitter) handle:
He wrote: ” During a recent breakfast meeting with Chief Executive Officers of corporate organizations and businesses operating across our entire state, it was made known that our administration, in collaboration with the Organised Private Sector (OPS), has finalized plans to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the construction of the Olokola Deep Seaport in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area.
“For our administration, this represents another significant milestone in our efforts to foster and support a thriving business environment in our state.
” The Olokola seaport project will not only provide additional opportunities for companies in our state to transport their goods and equipment, but it will also complement the soon-to-be-completed Gateway Agro-Cargo International Airport and the planned Dry port in Kajola.
“On the subject of taxes, we are actively working towards streamlining and simplifying the tax system. The ongoing reforms implemented by the Ogun State Inland Revenue Service will effectively address this issue.
“We encourage businesses to collaborate with the government when seeking land for their endeavors. It is important to note that we now have the capability to issue Certificate of Occupancy (CofO) promptly, thanks to a newly deployed technology that enables us to process approximately 1000 CofOs daily.
“Furthermore, we reiterate our commitment to ensuring a consistent and uninterrupted power supply through the Ogun Light Up Project, which is well underway.
“We would also like to take this opportunity to commend the private sector players who have joined hands with our administration to revamp our security architecture through the Ogun State Security Trust Fund. Rest assured, our government will continue to prioritize the safety of our residents, making Ogun State the ideal place to live, work, and play.
