President Tinubu appointed Fernandez as his Special Assistant on Justice Sector Reforms And ICT/Digital and Innovative Technology.

Marcus-Obiene Fernández, a Labour Party and Peter Obi’s supporter who was recently given an appointment by President Bola Tinubu, in an old tweet once described Yorùbá women as dirty, saying he has to take his bath after hugging anyone of them.

President Tinubu appointed Fernandez as his Special Assistant on Justice Sector Reforms And ICT/Digital and Innovative Technology.

The LP supporter’s appointment has generated reactions from the All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters who have questioned why he accepted the appointment after calling the President a “drug dealer.”

Whereas Fernandez has since his appointment protected his X (formerly Twitter) page, a tweet where he described Yorùbá women as dirty in May 2013 has surfaced on the internet.

Fernandez had in the post he made on May 30, 2013 written, “Lol! Or did you enter river after her? @BATTLETIDE: Did I hug a Yoruba? Why should I have my bath before I sleep?”
