Yoruba-Beninise woman gives birth to 11 children at once in rare multiple birth.

A Yoruba-Beninese woman, Latoyossi Alake, has given birth to 11 children at once.

Unfortunately, two of the children did not survive.

The incredible birth took place recently, and the woman’s husband, Yahaya Nafiu, from Onikeke compound, Popo Giwa area, Ilorin, Kwara State capita by her side throughout the experience.

The 56-year-old Islamic cleric based in Ajasse-Cotonou in the Benin Republic confirmed the incident to newsmen.

β€œOne other major challenge that we are now facing before we could bring the children home to Ilorin to show them to my parents is how to raise money for the marriage rites, as well as medical bills and police report”, Yahya said.

The surviving nine children are currently receiving medical attention and care to ensure their health and well-being.

The family is grateful for the support and prayers from their community and beyond.
