October 11, 2023 2 min read

The Kogi State Accord Party governorship candidate for the November 11 election, Admiral (retd) Jibrin qUsman, has expressed the need to respect traditional institutions.

Jibrin noted that traditional institutions in the state must continue to be respected if the state was to experience growth and development.

He said this on Wedneday while congratulating the newly coronated Ejeh of Ankpa community of the state, King Sediq Ahmed.

Usman joined other dignitaries to congratulate the monarch and urged him to use his capacity to further bring about development in the state.

The coronation held in Ankpa Local Government Area of the state took place last Saturday, marking the beginning of his reign.

He hailed the monarch and consolidated his respect and reverence for traditional institutions.

While wishing Ahmed a peaceful and prosperous reign, Usman added: “I congratulate and implore the monarch to, in his capacity, bring about transformation into the community and further ensure residents of adequate security.”

He called on residents of the LGA to support and work for the growth of the community.

“The development of the community is paramount and there is a need for every resident to join hands with the monarch, to make that happen,” he said.

Jibrin noted that traditional institutions in the state must continue to be respected, should the state experience real growth and development.

King Sediq, a couple of months ago, was appointed as the Ejeh of Ankpa by the Kogi State government.
