Tinubu Chides Labour Over Incessant Strikes, Says You’re Not the Only Voice of Nigerians

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has charged the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to maintain peace in the country.

Speaking in Lagos today at the commissioning of the rail project of the Lagos State government, the President told NLC leaders to wait till 2027 if they wanted to participate in the electoral process.

In apparent reference to the just-concluded protests by Labour, Tinubu wondered how the workers union would stage four industrial strikes within the life span of an 8-month administration.

Describing the development as unacceptable, the President reminded NLC that it was not the only voice of Nigerians.
