The Òyó State Police Command has arrested a herder Sheu Aliu for allegedly killing his colleague, Jombo Isa, following a dispute over a N4,000 debt at the Zakari Forest Reserve in Igboho, Oorelope Local Government Area of Oyo State.

Eyewitnesses said the incident occurred after an argument between the two herders turned violent. Aliu reportedly attacked Isa with a cutlass, inflicting fatal injuries.

The Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Association in Oorelope Local Government alerted the police, prompting a swift response by operatives led by the Divisional Police Officer of Igboho.

The suspect was later apprehended and, upon interrogation, confessed to the crime. The cutlass used in the attack was recovered as an exhibit.

Police added that the body of the deceased was evacuated and deposited at the General Hospital, Igboho, for preservation and autopsy.
