Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, has deleted Napoli-related posts on his Instagram page.

This is coming after a contentious โ€˜mockeryโ€™ video was posted by Napoliโ€™s verified TikTok handle.

As observed by PUNCH Online on Wednesday morning, Osimhenโ€™s Instagram page was left with one post in which he wore a Napoli jersey, while other posts had been deleted.

After criticisms and reactions from Nigerians and social media users, the video, posted on Tuesday on Napoliโ€™s TikTok page, was pulled down.

Osimhen, who was the clubโ€™s top scorer last season as the Parthenopeans won the Scudetto after three decades, missed the penalty that denied Napoli a chance to win all three points against Bologna on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Osimhen could take legal action against Napoli, according to the playerโ€™s agent, Roberto Calenda.

Calenda in a statement released on Tuesday described the video as unacceptable.

The statement read: โ€œWhat happened today on Napoliโ€™s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted.

โ€œA serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news

โ€œWe reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor.โ€
