The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, has installed 12 new Mogajis and three Baales, charging them to lead with integrity and fairness.

The installation ceremony, held at the Olubadan palace, Oke Aremo, on Monday, was attended by prominent traditional rulers and dignitaries.

Oba Olakulehin, speaking through the Ekaarun Balogun of Ibadanland, High Chief (Senator) Barrister Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, cautioned the new Mogajis and Baales against using their positions to oppress their subjects.

“You are the representatives of the Olubadan in your respective compounds and villages,” Oba Olakulehin emphasized. “Your titles may be withdrawn if you are found wanting. Lead with integrity, fairness, and compassion.”

The newly installed Mogajis include Mr. Saheed Babatunde Adeyemo, Mogaji of Jatao family, Oje area; Mr. Oladejo Rufai Moruf, Mogaji of Omotara family; Elder Amos Olusoji Oladokun, Mogaji of Obatolu family, Oke Ofa, Atipe area; and nine others.

The three new Baales are Mr. Olawatosin Olusegun Oladimeji (Segelu), Baale of Eleruko village in Lagelu Local Government Area; Mr. Safiu Gbedeogun, Baale of Gbedeogun village in Oluyole Local Government Area; and Alhaji Fatai Oyeniyi Oni, Baale of Aba Oni village in Ido Local Government Area.

Dignitaries present at the ceremony included Oba Tajudeen Abimbola Ajibola, Balogun of Ibadanland; Oba Eddy Oyewole-Foko, Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland; Oba Olubunmi Dada-Isioye, Osi Balogun of Ibadanland; and High Chief Akeem Mobolaji Adewoyin, Ekerin Balogun of Ibadanland.
