Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun’s affordable transportation revolution

September 9, 2024 2 min read

Governor Dapo Abiodun’s Eco-Friendly buses that was launched August 2, 2024, has drastically reduced transportation costs for travelers plying the Mowe/Ibafo to Berger route, with fares plummeting from N700-N800 to a mere N300.

The CNG buses, which operate on a cleaner and more environmentally friendly fuel source, offer commuters the convenience of disembarking at any bus stop along the route. This development has been hailed as a major breakthrough in the state’s transportation sector, providing a reliable and affordable solution for thousands of daily commuters.

In a move to further expand the reach and impact of this initiative, Governor Abiodun is set to launch an additional 100 CNG buses, bringing the total fleet size to a significant number.

This expansion will not only increase the availability of affordable transportation options but also create employment opportunities for drivers, conductors, and maintenance personnel.

The introduction of CNG buses aligns with Governor Abiodun’s administration’s commitment to prioritizing the welfare of Ogun State constituents. By providing a cost-effective, efficient, and eco-friendly transportation solution, the governor has demonstrated his dedication to improving the lives of his people.

This initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the state’s economy, environment, and overall quality of life.
