Lagos Shuts ASPAMDA, Other Markets in Trade Fair

October 22, 2023 1 min read

Operatives of the Lagos Waste Management Authority have sealed the ASPAMDA, BBA, and other markets within the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex, Ojo, on Sunday, October 22.

This was disclosed in a post on X by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Jubril Gawat, on Sunday.

According to Gawat, the markets were sealed for poor waste disposal practices, non-payment for waste disposal, and general environmental sanitation infractions.

He added that the operation was carried out by LAWMA in partnership with the Lagos Task Force on Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences and the Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps.
