The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, Lagos chapter, has condemned a viral testimony from The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry, labeling it a “fabrication.”

“I am shocked and dismayed that the church would permit such a testimony,” Bishop Adegbite said. “It’s unacceptable and undermines the integrity of our faith.”

A shocking testimony from a member of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry in Lagos has gone viral, sparking outrage on social media.

The woman, who remains unnamed, claimed that she received divine assistance during a Federal Government examination, specifically stating that an old man appeared to her in the examination hall and provided answers to some questions.

According to her testimony, the examination consisted of 50 questions, with 40 related to career and 10 focused on current affairs. She proudly declared, “I am a Chosen!” before receiving the alleged divine assistance.

The woman also admitted to sharing her answers with another candidate, a member of the Mountain of Fire church, who sat beside her.

According to the woman, she said, “We all had written our career questions. It then came to these very 10 questions, which asked, ‘Mention 10 Francophone countries and their capitals.’

“Brethren, nobody knew this question. So, all I did was to raise the question paper and declare to it: ‘I am a Chosen! I am a chosen!! I am a chosen!!! This question, who are you? Where is the God of my pastor power?’

“Then, suddenly, an old man appeared by my right-hand side in white apparel. He told me, ‘My daughter, begin to write.’ And I began to write,” she recounted.

She noted that one of the examination supervisor who suspected something around her took off her “Chosen Apron” which made ther “Angel” disappear.

The action, she added, made her angry.

“But when they returned the apron and I wore it back, the old man appeared again and began to tell the rest of the answers. I completed 10 good questions. I wrote them correctly and accurately. To me, it was like a dream.

“Brethren, when I finished writing my questions, a sister who sat by my side was a Mountain of Fire member because of the logo on her clothing. As I took up the answer sheet and was cross-checking my write-up, I signaled to the woman, saying, ‘Sister, do anything you can do humanly possible.

“Any moment from now, I am going to submit my questions.’ While I was cross-checking, the sister quietly copied. And immediately she finished, brethren, I stood up and submitted my questions. Everybody in the hall was looking at me. That was how only two of us out of 102 were able to do this,” she added.

While the whole congregation celebrated God through her testimony

However, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has strongly condemned the testimony, labeling it as “fabrication.”

He emphasized that God does not work supernatural miracles in such a manner, instead providing strength to read and prepare for exams.

Bishop Adegbite also expressed concerns about the increasing number of questionable testimonies from Pentecostal churches, stating that the Christian body would address these issues in an upcoming meeting. “We will be meeting probably next Friday… to address the madness going on among Pentecostal pastors,” he declared.

The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry has responded to the backlash, with Pastor Chidi Louis, Head of Public Relations and Media, claiming that the testimony videos were doctored to tarnish the church’s image.

He explained that some of the incidents mentioned in the testimonies occurred in the testifiers’ dreams.

This incident highlights the ongoing issue of examination malpractice in Nigeria, which has become a significant concern in the country’s education system.

The forms of examination malpractice include impersonation, smuggling of extraneous materials, external assistance, copying during examination, and collusion.
