FG takes over newly established University in Kaduna, fulfilling presidential commitment

Vice President Kashim Shettima presided over the official handover ceremony of the newly established Federal University of Applied Sciences in Kachia, Kaduna State, marking a significant milestone in the federal government’s efforts to expand access to quality education.

This event fulfills President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s earlier commitment to establish a federal university in Southern Kaduna, demonstrating the administration’s dedication to promoting educational opportunities and development in the region.

The ceremony was attended by a host of distinguished guests, including Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, who represents Kaduna South, and Daniel Amos, the representative for the Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency.

Other notable attendees included Dr. Tunji Alausa, the Minister of Education; Ola Olukayode, Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission; and General Christopher Musa, Chief of Defence Staff.
