Completed 34.85 km Òyó-Iseyin Road Set for Commissioning

The 34.85 km Oyo-Iseyin Road rehabilitation received its final update.

Despite being a federal road, the Òyó-Iseyin road rehabilitation was assigned to Messrs Kopek Construction Limited by the Òyó State Government in June 2021, after receiving consent from the Federal Government.

Though July 2021 saw the start of construction on the road project, it wasn’t until December of the same year that the project was formally launched.

The Fasola Agribusiness Industrial Hub which the Òyó State Government is building, is located along the Òyó-Iseyin Road, which links Òyó and Oke-Ogun Zone.

Reduced travel time on the road as a result of its completion has enhanced commuter traffic between Òyó and Oke-Ogun zones.

It has further boosted both agricultural zones’ socio-economic activity.

On Friday, September 15, 2023, His Excellency Chief Olusegun Obasanjo will commission the 34.85 kilometre road in addition to commissioning the completed Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Iseyin Campus, which houses the College of Agricultural Sciences & Renewable Natural Resources.
