BREAKING ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ: Afenifere Backs Sunday Igboho, Warns Against Politicising Terror Fight in Yorubaland

Pan Yoruba socio political group, Afenifere, has defended Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, over his campaign against kidnappers and other criminal elements in parts of Yorubaland.

In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Jare Ajayi, the group said Igbohoโ€™s warnings were aimed at those involved in kidnapping, banditry and terrorism, not any ethnic group.

Afenifere said the safety of residents must come first, following recent abductions along the Igboho, Igbeti and Kisi corridor in Oke Ogun, Oyo State. Igboho had returned to his hometown last weekend and issued a two hour ultimatum for the release of a pregnant woman and two others abducted in the area.

The group said law abiding non indigenes have nothing to fear, but warned that anyone, Yoruba or otherwise, found aiding kidnappers and criminal gangs must face the consequences.
