Ọṣun Government Begins Distribution of Palliative

The Ọṣun State government through its palliative committee will begin distribution of subsidized rice palliative received from the Federal government.

A release by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, stated that the mode of sharing had been finalized by the committee, adding that the distribution started on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.

According to the press release, beneficiaries would begin to receive the rice palliative according to the time-table prepared to capture everyone.

The total number of the subsidized rice palliative that will be distributed tomorrow is 5,700: three thousand 50kg from the first batch of palliatives, and two thousand seven hundred 50kg bags of rice from the 14,000 second batch.

Similarly, Ọṣun State said it had received 2billion naira out of the 5billion naira palliative money earmarked for the state by the federal government.

The template and modalities of payment will be made by the palliative committee at the forthcoming meeting.
